Kelly Khumalo, a South African singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer, was born on November 11, 1984. She was discovered while performing a gospel talent search in Nquthu, KwaZulu-Natal. After signing a record deal with Bomsai Entertainment, she released her debut studio album T.K.O. (2005).
In 2005, after her debut album (T.K.O) was released, she received Afro Pop music industry award for Best Newcomer.
That same year on November 5, 2012, the album The Past, The Present, The Future was made released. She won the 19th South African Music Awards in May 2013.
Elements of R&B, Afro-pop and Gospel were introduced in The Voice of Africa, Khumalo’s tenth album, released in 2020 South Africa awarded the album a gold certification.

Early Life and Career
Kelly Khumalo went to KwaZulu-Natal after being born in Katlehong. In 1997, she moved to Gauteng. Itshitshi (2005), T.K.O. (2006)

At her family’s Vosloorus house on October 26, 2014, her partner Senzo Meyiwa, the captain of the South Africa men’s national football team and club team Orlando Pirates with whom she had a kid, was fatally murdered in front of her.
Khumalo is said to have known the shooter, as well as everyone else in the room, but she has stayed mute about their identity. There was no material discovered that connects the murder case.

After coming forward about being in an abusive relationship, Kelly Nonhlanhla Khumalo started advocating against domestic abuse in 2012.
