Gideon Okeke, a Nollywood actor and television host, has responded to an Instagram follower who questioned his reason for divorcing his wife, Chidera.
Okeke confirmed his divorce from Chidera, his wife of four years, according to Kemi Filani News. The actor posted a PSA about his divorce on his Instagram story. He admitted that his wife broke his heart, and it was a bitter pill to swallow, but it humbled him. He asked his fans to pray for him and his sons instead of throwing pity parties for them.
Taking to his instastory, he wrote:
“You wouldn’t believe it if I told you that I’m separated from my Marriage right? No you wouldn’t…so grab a seat. It is in the interest of clarity and a clear conscience that this becomes imperative. But yea…. Breakfast reach Me too… Las Las. It’s been a hard hot pill I’ve had to swallow and boy….it sure humbles one. This PSA wouldn’t be so important (to Me), but for this trap that I find FAME to be sometimes. Gagged.
But as I look to the future… I pray for My BOYS. Such lovely Boys. Pls put us All in your prayers….not pity party. They need Mum and Dad sane, sound and strong for the fulfillment of their best interests and we are working towards it. Hard! I thank God. And I Thank you for rooting for Us. One life….many stories.
Pls don’t call, don’t text, as we work our way to a final dissolution. These processes take a toll in one as you may know. God bless y’all”.
A follower took to the comment of one of okeke’s post to querry him about divorcing his wife.
The father of three posted a picture of American actress, Tracee Joy Silberstein, professionally known as Tracee Ellis Ross. While gushing over her uniqueness and exceptional beautiful old soul, he noted that he is her spec out of all the women in Hollywood.
Reacting to his post, a follower queried if the actress is the reason he is getting a divorce. She wrote: “This is why you are getting divorced?”
Okeke hit back at her, he said her comment was shallow. He wrote: Wouldn’t that be shalloww of you to say? I appreciate the content in a woman. it reflects in her thought and speech processes…like you sure do prove with this comment.
