The Lagos Police Department has responded to reports that actress Eniola Badmus was arrested in connection with the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of music artist Davido.
According to Creebhills, this comes after speculations regarding Eniola Badmus’ detention began circulating in the early hours of Saturday.
According to many websites, the actress phoned Ifeanyi’s babysitter to divert her from realizing the youngster had left the room for the swimming pool.
Reacting to the claims, police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin told BBC Pidgin that Eniola was not arrested.
“The story is false, nothing like that happened,” Hundeyin said.
Eniola Badmus was one of the first celebrities that announced the death of Ifeanyi in a cryptic message. Kemi Filani recalls that Davido’s son, Ifeanyi died by drowning on Monday, October 31, eleven days after celebrating his third birthday.
