Actress turned politician Tonto Dikeh has talked about her failed music career.

The mother of one who ventured into music in 2014 before she quit acting said she does not regret pursuing a career in music.

Tonto Dikeh made this known in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.

“I failed woefully in music. But I still don’t regret it. When I say I failed in music, it is not because my music were not good. I think I lost the confidence to move on,” she said.




“Music is consistency. If I had continued with that, I would have made good music. That is where the failure is coming from, not because I did bad music.”

Tonto was announced as the running mate of Rivers State governorship aspirant Tonte Ibraye under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in a statement on Instagram on June 24.

The actress released her single ‘Sugar Rush’ in June 2014, the song, produced by DeeVee is Tonto’s debut single under DB Records and was promoted with a short teaser which caused several reactions on social media.

Born into a family of seven from Obio-Akpor in Rivers State, the 36-year-old lost her mother when she was three years old. She was raised by her late stepmother, who had two children.
