Wizkid commends Oxlade’s voice, admits he’s his fan

Ace Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has hailed fellow singer, Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman a.k.a Oxlade, admitting he is one of his fans.

He made this known during a recent interview, where he confessed he admires the budding singer and praised his vocal range.

Oxlade is known for mesmerising his fans and knocking his listeners off their feet with his sensational voice when singing, especially while rendering his song, “Kulosa”

His illustrious colleague, WizKid was not left out as he has now openly praised Oxlade’s voice, citing the rendition of his songs “Away” track and most recent “Kulosa”.

Wizkid while eulogising the 25-year-old artiste, asserted that whenever their part crosses, he would take the advantage to bring him on board to perform his hit track ‘Kulosa’ on stage.

He said, “I love Oxlade’s voice and I’m a really big fan of his. I love how he uses his voice and everywhere I go, if I see him, ama bring him out to perform that song.”

Meanwhile, Oxlade joins Asake, Burna Boy and Tems, as one of the Nigerian artistes nominated for the 2022 MOBO Awards.

The award ceremony is an annual British presentation honouring achievements in “music of black origin”.

The award organisers announced this year’s nominees on Friday, saying Oxlade is up in the ‘Best African Music Act’ category alongside Asake.
