Call Center worker reveals she was fired after talking about customer when she thought phone was on mute

A TikTok video has gone viral after a former call center employee claimed she was fired after being caught talking about a customer who she thought was on mute.

Richhdee’s video has already received over 300 comments from TikTok users who found her story relatable. “One time my mute button didn’t work and I was going innn lmfao,” one user commented. “Huh?” said the lady, and I had no choice but to repeat myself.”

In the video, the woman appears to be explaining to a customer why the company she works for requires a security deposit.




The TikToker goes into greater detail, reiterating why a security deposit is required. She explains, “The reason we’re charging you a security deposit is that the payment history on the account is poor.” “When reviewing the account, I literally see late payment charges every time I click the next page,” she continued.

The TikToker appears to grow frustrated, placed the customer on mute, and says,” the f-k don’t she understand.”

In the text overlay, the woman reveals that she was terminated after that call, which read, “you thought you was on mute but clicked speaker and got fired after this.” Despite being fired, she stated that she does not miss working at a call center. Watch the video here.
