Ada Afoluwake Ogunkeye, known professionally as Folu Storms (born November 25, 1986), is a Nigerian radio host, presenter, actress, and voice-over artist. Folu grew up in a house filled with books, and this is where her love for stories (finding and telling them) began. As a Lawyer’s daughter, however, she decided to study Law to affect change in her society.
She then went on to gain Graduate and Postgraduate degree studies, attaining an LLB, LLM, and Barristers qualification (Bachelor of Law) from The University of Wales, Aberystwyth, Bristol University, and The Nigerian Law School, respectively.
Education
Folu received her primary and secondary education at Corona VI, Lagon Secondary School, and finally, St Leonard’s Mayfield, all in Lagos State, for her first and secondary school certificates, respectively.
She later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) at Aberystwyth University and a master’s degree (LLM) in the same discipline at the University of Bristol, both in the UK. Folu also has a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Pan African University.
Career
After a brief stint practicing, Folu became a broadcaster on a local radio station (92.3 Inspiration) in 2012. She heard of the MTV Base Africa Vj search and competed to become a top-three finalist.
At the end of the competition, Ndani TV hired her as a content producer and presenter, and she has gone on to create and present several Ndani TV Shows, including The Juice Season 1, The New Africa, Style Guide & Young C.E.O.
Folu has also worked with many brands, including Smooth 98.1fm, Guaranty Trust Bank plc, Spinlet, Digibrands, and Jumia.
