The concept of seeking validation from others has been criticized as unconventional; in response, media personality Shade Ladipo took to her Instagram story to elaborate.
When one seeks validation from others, self-worth, peace, and other important aspects of life, according to Ladipo, become dependent on other people’s opinions.
She wrote: If your validation must come from others, so too will your self-worth. If your peace resides in someone else, so too will your suffering. You get to decide what matters to you and what it means to live well and on purpose!
