Media personality Shade Ladipo has issued a heartfelt apology to Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage for the harsh comments she made following the leak of the singer’s private video years ago.
Speaking candidly, Ladipo admitted to being one of those who openly criticised Savage at the time.
“I was one of the people who blasted Tiwa Savage when that s3x tape came out. I’ll be honest. I blamed her. I was like, you know what? How can you be over 40? Cause we are mates and you’re still messing around with people like this,” she confessed.
Change of Heart
Reflecting on her past actions, Ladipo said she has since realised her criticism was misplaced.
“In hindsight, I wonder why I was blaming her so hard for something that happened to her,” she said.
According to her, listening to Savage’s latest album gave her a deeper appreciation of the singer’s struggles and emotional journey.
“I felt her pain. And I just want to say to you, I love you. I’m sorry!” she added.

Ladipo’s apology marks a major turnaround from her earlier stance. At the time of the scandal, she had openly questioned Tiwa Savage’s claim of blackmail and even dismissed the incident as a publicity stunt.
