‘I’m disappointed we couldn’t achieve more together’, Frank Lampard breaks silence after Everton sack

BREAKING: Frank Lampard sacked as Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel favorite to replace him

Frank Lampard has finally spoken out on Instagram after being fired by Everton on Monday.

The former Chelsea manager was fired on Monday after Everton suffered their 11th defeat in their last 14 games, a 2-0 loss at West Ham.

Lampard said on social media on Thursday night that he was “disappointed” he hadn’t been able to accomplish more at Goodison Park.

“Coming in to Everton last year I knew we were in a tough moment and I will always be proud of the incredible work and support from everyone involved to keep the team in the Premier League last season,” he said alongside a photo of him celebrating with Everton fans. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the club coming together. I’ll never forget the incredible night we had against Palace.

“I want to thank all Evertonians for the welcome that you gave to myself, my staff, and my family. It truly is a special club with a huge heart, and an incredible history. I’m disappointed that we couldn’t achieve more together and wish all the players and everyone at Everton FC the very best for the future 💙💙”
