It’s no longer news that former President Olusegun Obasanjo has openly drummed his support for Peter Obi, Labor Party Presidential candidate.
His Public Declaration has been met with both Positive and negative Reactions from many political personals in Nigeria.
One such is the Former Adviser to the former Nigerian president, Reno Omokri who is also a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to Reno in his usual tweets, said Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has always desired a president from the South-East to help heal the wounds of the Civil War.
Reno continued, reacting to Obasanjo’s official endorsement of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, that the former president wanted Peter Odili as president in 2007, but ex-President Umaru Yar’adua insisted on Governor Jonathan as his Vice President.
Reno wrote: “President Obasanjo is a good hearted man. He has always wanted a President from the SE or close to the SE as a way to heal the Civil War wounds. In 2007, he wanted Peter Odili, but Yar’adua insisted on Governor Jonathan as VP. What Obj did won’t affect the election!”
