Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, describes his experience at the Wassa IDP Camp in Abuja as sad.

The presidential candidate, who visited the camp on Sunday, January 1st, 2023, revealed that the camp lacks basic amenities such as water, health care, light, and a secondary school.

On Twitter, he wrote: “Earlier today, I Visited Wassa IDP camp in Abuja. It was a very sad and first hand experience of what the IDPs are going through; no water, no health care, no light, no secondary school, etc. As long as they are in IDP camps, Nigeria is an IDP Camp. -PO”
