Nollywood star, Chantel Igwe has been left in a state of mourning after losing her mother.
The actress announced the sad news on her Instagram page on Wednesday.
She shared a dark background candlelight photo with the caption, “Black Wednesday. God why !!!Mum you left so soon. My heart is so heavy…”
Colleagues and friends have sent her condolence message.
Her mother’s death comes at a time fellow actress, Funke Akindele also lost her mother.
It was earlier reported that the news of Mrs Adebanjo-Akindele’s death was made known by Funke’s elder sister, Olubunmi Akindele in a statement via Instagram on Tuesday evening.
According to the statement released on behalf of the family, their mother died on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
