Olakunle Churchill ignores Tonto Dikeh, flaunts appreciation letter from the Paramount Ruler of Ondo Kingdom

Olakunle Churchill, a businessman, has issued a cease-and-desist letter to his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh, for defaming his and his wife’s character.

Tonto Dikeh, according to Kemi Filani, has not stopped making serious allegations against him since their divorce. From being accused of being a deadbeat father to being a yahoo boy and ritualists, among other things.

Olakunle Churchill, who has had enough of Tonto’s defamation, has issued a cease-and-desist letter to his ex-wife.

Tonto had published falsehoods about Churchill and his wife, Rosy, on Instagram, and had labeled him a deadbeat father, fraudster, thief, and other things, according to the letter dated February 19th.

His lawyers also mentioned Tonto’s claim that she had sponsored their wedding, despite the fact that Churchill had footed the bill. His lawyers also stated that reports that Tonto spent N7 million on their wedding are false because they only had a parlor wedding where Tonto’s bride price was paid and only four people attended.

The letter also noted how Tonto had labelled Rosy Meurer, Churchill’s wife a husband snatcher and a former friend of hers and had accused Churchill of being a dead beat father, when in reality, Tonto has restricted all access for him to be with their son despite the court’s ruling.

His lawyers are demanding Tonto Dikeh publicly apologise to Churchill and his wife, Rosy Meurer within 24hours or risk being filed a defamatory lawsuit.

This isn’t the first time Churchill would like a suit against Tonto Dikeh.

Recall that in 2020, Olakunle Churchill had headed to court in Abuja. seeking no less than N500 million in damages over Tonto’s infamous May 2019 interview which sparked uproar on social media.

Tonto sparked controversy on Nigeria’s social media community on Workers’ Day – May 1, 2019, when she released a three-part video where she opened a can of worms about her failed marriage to Churchill.

In the video titled “The Evidence”, the actress made some provocative and indicting claims against the father of her son, saying the claims are some of the reasons she quit the marriage.

She also alleged that Churchill is into cyber fraud popularly called Yahoo Yahoo. According to her, she found out when she caught him in the middle of red candles with a red cloth tied to his waist with a laptop in his lap.

The actress further claimed that, contrary to widespread speculation that Churchill was related to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the father of her ex-husband was just Obasanjo’s gardener.

Following the series of claims made in the viral videos, Churchill has approached the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja to seek legal redress against the mother of his son.

In the court papers, the court has summoned Tonto warning that failure to do so in 14 days, it may proceed therein with judgment even in the absence of the defendant (Tonto).

According to the court papers, the 1st and 2nd claimants (Churchill and Big Church Foundation respectively), are claiming that “The series of malicious and fallacious allegations, assertions and accusations through media campaigns and publications by Tonto Dikeh and her charity group was defamatory, baseless and sponsored to tarnish and damage the image and political ambition of the claimant, as he might have told her his intentions to run for House of Representative in his constituency.
