Nigerian businessman and philanthropist Olakunle Churchill has stirred fresh speculation about a possible reconciliation with his wife, Rosy Meurer, following a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute shared on social media.
Churchill posted clips of Rosy on Instagram alongside a message celebrating her as a mother and appreciating her role in his life.
“Feliz Día de las Madres, Thank you for being an amazing mother and an incredible woman. I’m grateful for your love and strength,” he wrote.
“Happy Mexican Mother’s Day in Mexico.”
The public message immediately triggered reactions online, especially because it came weeks after rumors of marital issues between the couple intensified on social media.
Last month, fans noticed that both Churchill and Rosy had reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram, fueling breakup speculation.
Reports later emerged alleging that Rosy had filed for the dissolution of their marriage.
Churchill also added to the speculation at the time after sharing cryptic posts about prioritizing his children above everything else.
In one post, he declared that he would always choose his children over anyone or anything.
Rosy Meurer later made headlines after posting a video reintroducing herself without wearing her wedding ring or using Churchill’s surname.
In an emotional post, the actress apologized to fans for her silence and absence, saying that life experiences had transformed her into a stronger person.
“Time can either make or break one, however it built me,” she said while announcing her return to acting and public life.
Churchill, however, later disputed reports surrounding a divorce filing, stating publicly that there was no legal basis for dissolution proceedings because, according to him, they were never legally married.
He also rejected narratives suggesting Rosy remained with him only during difficult periods, including public disputes with his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh.
