Rihanna returned to the Super Bowl with her pregnant body on display. According to the organizers on Thursday, she will perform at the Oscars next month.
The Barbadian pop star will perform her Academy Award-nominated song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at the film industry’s top awards show in Hollywood.
Other songs completing the pop star’s song are Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick” and the current frontrunner “Naatu Naatu” from Indian crowd-pleaser “RRR.” Earlier this month, before Rihanna brought a career-spanning medley of hits to the NFL’s flagship halftime show, she had not performed any live shows in the past seven years.
Rihanna, however, concentrated on raising her first child, a son who was born in May, and developing her successful makeup, lingerie, and high-fashion brands that have helped her become a billionaire.
Rihanna’s arrival at the Super Bowl made her baby bump dominate the conversation, with representatives for the pop star affirming that Rihanna is pregnant with her second child.
Although her fans were disappointed after waiting for years to hear the glimpse of the album she’s been teasing.
According to the Oscar nominations, “Lift Me Up” is the first Oscar nomination for Rihanna, who has eight multi-platinum albums and is a nine-time Grammy winner.
Nevertheless, on March 12, the 95th Academy Awards will be held at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
