Early Life

Ini Dima-Okojie (born  June 24, 1990) was born in Lagos State, Nigeria. She is, however, from the Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria. Dima Okojie grew up and received her early education in Lagos state. Mr. Okojie, a retired military-trained doctor in the Nigerian Air Force, and her mother, a lawyer who worked in a bank, are professionals. They have played a significant role as parents in Ini’s acting career.


Ini Dima Okojie was born as the fourth child in a family of four. She has two brothers and two sisters. Ivie, one of her sisters, is a Business Strategist with an Economics degree from Babcock University. Her other siblings are unknown to the general public and social media.

Meanwhile, when they were about eight years old, Ini revealed that she was a member of a band called the ‘Wanna Bees,’ and they performed an original song. Ini started her own business when she was about 8 or 12. She created and sold greeting cards to family and friends, saving the proceeds in a box. At a young age, Dima Okojie developed an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for entertainment.


Education

Ini Dima Okojie went to Lagos Air Force Primary School and Ibadan Air Force Comprehensive Secondary School. This is no surprise, given her father’s service in the Nigerian Air Force. Okojie attended Covenant University in Ota, Ogun State, for her studies. She received a 4.18 GPA in International Relations when she graduated. Ini Dima-Okojie left her job in finance to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Her Nollywood career began as a production assistant on the film Before 30, and she later made her acting debut as “Feyisayo Pepple” in the television series Taste of Love. In 2016, she starred in the film North East as “Hadiza Ahmed,” a Muslim lady who begins a romantic relationship with a man from a different religious background.


Ini Dima Okojie appeared in Battleground and The Royal Hibiscus Hotel in 2017. She was nominated for an acting award at The Future Awards. She was named one of the seven Nollywood actresses of 2017 by Pulse Nigeria.

In 2018, she appeared in two films, one of which was Sylvia, in which she played Gbemi Ogunlana in a story about spirit lovers. Later that year, she was cast in Funke as Ms. Catherine, alongside Jide Kosoko, Eniola Badmus, and Segun Arinze, and directed by Yemi Morafa. The story, set in 1996, revolved around a young girl’s ultimate dream of becoming a footballer and her struggle to overcome gender roles in her community. In November 2021, Ini Dima-Okojie has taken to Instagram to share cute photos of her marriage introduction with the love of her life, Abasi Eneobbong.

Recall that Ini Dima Okojie took to her Instagram page on July 17, 2021, to announce her marriage proposal and revealed how she met her fiancee hours after ranting about crispy chocolate in Lagos.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Inidima Okojie said she had thought they were going on a date, but it turned out to be the night he was engaged to her fiancé in the presence of people she loves.

She wrote: I SAID YES !!!!!!! What I thought was going to be a cute cheeky date with my boo turned out to be the night that he asked me to be his wife in the presence of all the people that I love. (Eeeek I still can’t believe it)

The wedding reception of Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie took place at the five-palm event hall on Remi Olowude Street in Lekki, Lagos.

It was an event that drew some of Nollywood’s biggest names. The reception hall was elegantly furnished and ready for the newlyweds and their guests.
