Early Life
Wunmi Toriola (born July 11, 1988, 37 years old) is a native of Ogun State, Nigeria, from the country’s western region, but was born and raised in Lagos. She comes from a strict, disciplined family of four children and a US-based father.
Education
She attended Providence Primary and Secondary School in Lagos State before pursuing her tertiary education at the University of Ilorin, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics.
Career
Wunmi began her acting career when she joined the Odunfa Caucus, a Yoruba theatre group led by Yinka Qadri, Taiwo Hassan, and Sunny Ali. Toriola received her first acting role in the 2009 film Odunfa Caucus.
Wunmi was 21 when she appeared in the Yoruba film Isese Lagba in 2009. Years passed, and the actress’s career became prominent as she appeared in numerous films. Nonetheless, she rose to prominence in 2012 when she appeared in Ajewunmi.
Her most well-known works include Alakada Reloaded, in which she played the role of “Wunmi,” and Queen Lateefat, in which she played the role of “Queen Lateefat.”
She has also starred in films alongside A-list actors such as Toyin Abraham, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Odunlade Adekola, Broda Shaggi, and Akeem Adeyemi.

Wunmi Toriola married in 2018 and gave birth to her first child on 14 October 2019. In January 2023, the Nollywood actress and mother of one seemingly confirmed that her marriage, barely three years old, had crashed.
