Grammy award-winning artist and Afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy has reportedly received a payment of $750,000 (N577.5M) for his performance at the 2023 Coachella.
The Coachella event took place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California and was held over two weekends, which started on April 14 and ending on April 16, 2023.
The Ye crooner entertained the audience for 50 minutes on Friday, April 14, and allegedly earned $750k as his booking fee.
Business journalist Trung Phan revealed that the headliner and other musicians in the first row were paid $4 million, while a lower amount was fixed for those on the second row, where Burna Boy was placed.
“Interesting rule-of-thumb for the Coachella poster. Headliners make $4,000,000+ per weekend while artists in the 2nd row make $750,000 per weekend,” he wrote in a tweet.
