The Labour Party’s candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, lost to the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in the gubernatorial election, and Gbadebo has been actively vocal in claiming that he will reclaim his mandate in court.
GRV has responded to a statement that said, “Let’s debunk this APC propaganda about GRV failing to pay homage to the Oba of Lagos on March 16th.”
“After the introductions, in which GRV prostrated like an Omoluabi, he sat for most of the time with his hat off, and at one point during the visit, he put his hat on and stood up while being advised.”
GRV said, “If the APC and their TweetBots devoted a quarter of the energy they spend on propaganda and weaving lies to good governance, Nigeria and Lagos would not be in the state they are in today—the poverty capital of the world and the 2nd worst liveable city in the world.”
The following are some of the screenshot reactions to his statement.
