Before the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, one of the categories that Black Sherif sought to win was Album of the Year.
In an interview with ZionFelix, the young musician revealed his expectations.
On the night of the awards, he received three honours: Artiste of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Song, and Vodafone Most Popular Song.
Sherif was asked how he felt about winning Album of the Year in an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3 after his victory.
The ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ singer stated that he was waiting to hear his name be when that didn’t happen, he said ‘Yawa’.
Black Sherif added that he was not disappointed because every nominee put in work and deserved to win.
He further talked about his love for King Promise’s ‘5 Star’ album which won over his.
“Obviously, I was waiting to hear my name, but when my name wasn’t mentioned, I said, ‘Yawa,’ ” – Black Sherif speaks on the Album of the Year award at the VGMAs.
