Hilda Bassey Effiong, also known as Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, has extended her cooking time to 100 hours in order to beat the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time.
Hilda made history on Monday, May 15, 2023, when she broke the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking time.
Baci’s close pal @ama_reginald announced her marathon cooking challenge extension from 96 to 100 hours in an Instagram post on Monday afternoon: “‘Let’s go. I asked my baby to make it round, so we’re going 100 hours.”
Baci has cooked for 96 hours as of 4:00 p.m. on Monday, breaking the previous record established by Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, in 2019.
Lata Tondon beat the previous record by cooking for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.
Baci began her cooking marathon challenge at Amore Gardens four days ago.
She will continue to cook till the 100th hour to break the record.
