Upon receiving his promotion to inspector in the Nigerian Police Force, popular artist Davido celebrates with his personal police escort, Bawo.
Ninety of the officers in the Nigerian Force had received promotions to higher positions, according to the announcement.
The musician can be seen congratulating Bawo, one of the officers, in a video that just went viral online.
The stolid-appearing officer was given a new badge by Davido in the video, and Davido was then seen congratulating him and shaking his hand.
“Congratulations on your promotion to Inspector of the Nigeria Police Force,” OBO remarked as he pinned the badge on his vest.
Bawo also took to his page to express his thanks to the musician for the recognition.
“Thank you my Good Boss @davido for the decoration of my new rank. For the love you’ve always been showing me I can’t pay you but I pledge to be faithful, LOYAL and honest. May God keep protecting and blessing you for us, Amen,” he wrote.
