Asari Dokubo, a prominent Niger Delta activist, was speaking to the press after meeting with Tinubu at the State House when he refuted any suggestion that he is a benefactor of oil theft in the Niger Delta region.
Asari Dokubo, who said that oil theft in Nigeria is carried out by powerful cabals and members of the Nigerian military, further stated that he lives comfortably and has achieved a lot to steal oil or gain in any way from the criminal crime.
He went on to say that he currently has several SUV vehicles, as well as four women and 22 children.
He said; “Have you been to United Arab Emirates? Have you been to Qatar? Go there and see what they’ve used their oil to do. Why can’t we use our oil to do something? Where is the oil money going? It’s not me, when I talk they say I speak very raw, as for me, I’m okay, I have four wives, I have 22 children, I have several SUVs, it’s only jet I’ve not bought, so it’s not me.”
