Muyiwa Ademola, a Popular Nigerian Actor has expressed his frustration with the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) for their inconsistent power supply.
He shared his recent experience of how his sleep was continuously disrupted by the frequent power cuts and restoration when he returned home after 18 days of work on his Instagram page.
He expressed his disappointment with the frequent interruptions, as the power would be restored and then cut off again within 5 to 10 minute intervals.
He strongly urged the PHCN to cease this annoying behavior, emphasizing the negative impact it had on his peaceful sleep.
The actor also highlighted the excessive noise pollution caused by the alarm systems installed in his area to alert residents of power restoration.
Furthermore, he expressed his disappointment mentioning that this has been going on for months and has resulted in the destruction of electrical appliances.
He emphasized the need for a more reliable power supply.
He also called on the PHCN to address the issue promptly and consider alternative methods that would not disturb the peace and quiet of the neighborhood.
“Cutting off and restoring power back like 50 times within 24 hours! So frustrating!”
”IBEDC/PHCN you can actually do better!”
“This recent act by IBEDC/PHCN in my place is so so frustrating!”
“Been on a film set for 18 days, came back yesterday evening and they messed up the very first peaceful sleep I could have gotten!”
“Restoring the light and interrupting it at 5 to 10 minutes intervals. It was as if someone was toying with the whole process. They should please stop this annoying act and let us do with the alternative to their epileptic power supply!”
“Few houses including mine are installed with light alarms, can you imagine the effect of this avoidable noise pollution intermittently from 9 pm till this moment!”
“This has been going on for months, destroying electrical appliances amidst other things. If not for the fact neighbors don’t enjoy one running generator while the IBEDC power supply is on. I would have cared less.”
“Enough of this please!”.
