Following the forward’s outstanding performances for Napoli in the 2022–23 season, the Federation of International Football Association, or FIFA, has given Victor Osimhen a unique shirt and ball.
As Napoli won the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years, Osimhen was essential.
In 32 league games for the Partenopei, the 24-year-old scored 26 goals and recorded four assists.
Osimhen won the Serie A top scorer award, being the first African to do so.
Additionally, the ex-Wolfsburg player was selected best forward and was a member of the Season’s Team.
“Victor Osimhen, you represent at the moment what football can do,” FIFA wrote in a message to the player.
“From Lagos to Napoli where people love you, you have suffered, but your love for football and determination have guided you.
“Keep going, keep pushing. Africa needs examples and millions are watching and dreaming.”
