Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has revealed his motivations for pushing the team to acquire Kai Havertz from Chelsea.
Despite the fact that the Gunners have not yet made the trade public, Havertz is thought to have had his physical and signed a five-year contract.
Arsenal will pay £65 million for the German, who will be Arteta’s first summer addition.
“Talent has a price and at Arsenal we are always interested in young people with experience.
“I’m not talking about players from other clubs, but in the case of Kai, he has already shown a lot, including a Champions League.
“He is a talented, versatile player and only 24 years old,” Arteta said according to Marca, via Football London.
