Manchester City star Jack Grealish was full of admiration for singer Lewis Capaldi when watching a video of his Glastonbury set.
Vocal problems meant Capaldi was unable to sing his final songs in what was supposed to be a comeback after he had cancelled three weeks of shows to ‘rest and recover’.
In extraordinary scenes that summed up the Glasto festival spirit, the audience, in their thousands, lent him their vocal support on Saturday evening.
Capaldi walked around the stage, singing where he could as he surveyed the view in front of him.
Watching a clip of the moment festival goers sang ‘Someone You Love’, Grealish took to Twitter where he called the 26-year-old a ‘The absolute 🐐’ – the ‘Greatest of all Time’.
Capaldi, who has been open about his anxiety in the past, told the crowd: “I freaking dreamed about this, man!”
“If this is the only time I ever get to experience it, I’m telling you, it’s more than enough.”
