After leaving Barcelona in 2021, Lionel Messi has explained why he chose to sign with Paris Saint-Germain.
Due to their financial difficulties, the 35-year-old free agent quit the LaLiga team.
He was then introduced by the Ligue 1 champions after an emotional exit.
Messi’s two-year stay with PSG is now over, and he will move on to sign with Inter Miami in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Messi gave Bein Sports an exclusive interview in which he discussed his decision to join the French team, where he would be paired with international teammates Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes.
“I came to Paris because I liked the club and had friends there, and a lot of people I knew from the national team.
“It seemed easier for me to adapt unlike anywhere else I could have gone and that’s why I decided to come to Paris,” Messi said.
