For some time now, reports have circulated that Tiwa Savage and Toke Makinwa are no longer best friends, and this was proven at a recent event in Lagos attended by the two ladies.
Creebhills recalls that the two female stars, Tiwa Savage and Toke Makinwa, used to attend functions together, club together, were big on each other’s birthday celebrations, and had each other’s back, such as when Tiwa faced Seyi Shay in 2021, Toke supported her friend, saying that Tiwa is capable of ensuring that she wins any fight.
However, things quickly soured between them in early 2022. It was claimed that the two females broke up because they both had feelings for the same man.
It got that terrible that Toke Makinwa missed Tiwa Savage’s honorary doctorate degree ceremony at the University of Kent in July 2022.
The two celebrities unfollowed each other on social media, stopped hanging out or exchanging birthday greetings, and, oddly, Toke Makinwa began boasting about a new best buddy.
So, recently, the Lagos Socialite; Chief Mrs Rainot Olufunke Alaba Oniru threw an elaborate 70th birthday party in Lagos and it was star-studded.
It was an array of Dignitaries & Foremost Lagos Society Women of Class in attendance.
Both Tiwa Savage and Toke Makinwa were in attendance but they shunned each other all through and ensured to sit far away from each other. While Toke Makinwa was adorned in a yellow abaya, Tiwa rocked denim on denim and had her bodyguard around her all through the occasion.
