Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage and Media personality Toke Makinwa are currently among the thousands of Nigerians protesting peacefully at the June 12 protest in Lagos.
We earlier reported this morning, that peaceful protesters have hit the streets of Lagos to Protest, today been June 12 Democracy day.
The protest has also spread across other states in Nigeria, including Abuja where policemen were caught on camera shooting tears gas directly at civilians.
In Lagos , currently at Ojota and Ikeja the Nigerian Police have also made a number of arrests while also aiming tear gas canons at the protesters.
Also in Oyo state, where the June 12 Protest in ongoing in Ibadan, the Governor of the State, Seyi Makinde also joined the protest and used the opportunity to admonish its citizens to be peaceful about the protest as it’s within their basic human rights to do so.
