Alhaji Asari Mujahid Abubakar Dokubo, a well-known Niger Delta activist, took to Facebook earlier today to address the concerns surrounding Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa, a factional leader linked with a proscribed group in Nigeria.
Chief Dokubo, a Kalabari native, asserted boldly, “I made a promise to smoke out Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and I have fulfilled that promise.” Now, regardless of the Nigerian federal government’s readiness, I am determined to bring Simon Ekpa, your representative in Finland, to face the consequences of his acts. It is critical to emphasize that my aims are not motivated by a desire for personal gain, such as obtaining contracts under Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.”
Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo elaborated, saying, “Many people are unaware of the extent of my influence and connections.” I have longstanding relationships with several presidents and leaders from diverse regions. Why would I seek contracts from President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu if I knew him before he became president? If I were to seek a position, it would be to thank those who have consistently followed my leadership, not for personal gain.”
Lastly, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo dismissed any assumptions that Nnamdi Kanu could financially influence him, stating, “Do not assume that Nnamdi Kanu can offer me financial incentives. I am already a billionaire in my own right.”
