Harrysong, a Nigerian singer-songwriter, had an unusual conversation with his mother about the cost of their meal while they were out to a meal.
When Harrysong’s mother was graciously informed that a salad would be sent to go with her lunch, she could be seen on the video checking the dish of food that had been served to her.
What would happen if she finished her rice before the salad showed up? she wondered.
She was surprised when Harrysong reassured her that more rice servings would be provided, ensuring she had a satisfying meal.
The elderly woman was shocked to learn how much the meal cost, though.
She complained, saying that such a magnificent supper had to have cost more than a thousand naira.
She questioned why her son hadn’t simply given her the money instead, allowing her to enjoy a more modest meal in the comfort of their home.
In response, Harrysong urged his mother to simply enjoy her meal and reassured her that he would provide her with N100,000.
