At the Encounter With Destiny Service at Faith Tabernacle, Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, gave a sermon to his congregation on “Unveiling The Breakthrough Power Of Love 1.”
According to him, “Serving God and the interests of His Kingdom is a vital proof of our love for God. Love has proofs. I love God, nobody else may know but I love God. No! If you love Him there are proofs in scriptures. You cannot just be saying it without anything to authenticate it. Not everyone who claims to be in love is sincere.”
So what is the explanation anybody will give for not serving God? I am not able to go out because I have weak legs. Do you have a weak mouth? Because you eat. Use your strong mouth to pray. Nobody has an excuse. It is only where your heart is that determines what you engage with. If your heart is not there, it is not there. I knew that carrying God and the interest of His kingdom will take anybody to any height in 1976. We are going somewhere.
He then revealed why he is not ready to go to heaven now. He said, “This short man today (speaking of himself), if he goes to heaven, the whole world will hear at the same time but I am not ready anyway (which is because), “I am still here working”. So he is not ready to go to heaven now because he is still here working.
Finally, he said, “Alignment is all there is to life. God’s directives are unchangeable, so don’t try to bargain with them. God cannot be sued in a court of law. If you won’t follow His instructions, He won’t carry out what He promises. God’s love is demonstrable; it cannot just be assumed. If something is absent, it is not there. If you love Him, you will love His home, your brothers and sisters, the poor, and you will be there.”
