Mary Remmy Njoku, a Nollywood actress, has resorted to social media to vent her displeasure with the situation of the country.
Fuel and food prices have been continuously climbing since President Tinubu assumed office, rather than falling as predicted.
Mary Njoku posted a photo of her receipt on Instagram, confirming that she had paid 664 naira for the toll gate.
The mother of three wondered if that had become the norm or if she had been deceived.
She mentioned how filling a car’s tank now costs more than the minimum wage set by the government.
Mary Njoku questioned how people were surviving in her final statement.
“I just paid 664 nairas for toll gate. Na so e don be? Abi Dem cheat me. It now takes more than the minimum monthly wage to fill the tank of a car. How are people surviving?”.
