Popular Nigerian actress, Kemi Afolabi, has revealed that the money she complained about which was withheld by her bank, has been returned.
She cried out over the weekend that for three months, a popular bank was with her N510,000 which she erroneaously transferred to a customer and they refused to release it to her despite her complaints.
Kemi wrote on her social media page: “Help tag @gtbank it’s been over 3 months that they held on to my N510,000. @gtbank kindly do the needful. I have been patient; I’m exhausted.”
Following the results of her online lamentation, she advised the public not to underestimate the power of social media. The Yoruba movie star gave an update via IG on Tuesday that her bank resolved the issue and refunded her money.
Afolabi expressed gratitude to online supporters for helping her to drag the bank, which made them to sit up and do the right thing after months of dragging their feet.
She wrote: “GTB Fraud Unit made sure the money I erroneously transferred to their customer is returned to my account. Thank you all for helping me tag GTB. My dear! Never you underestimate the power of social media. Thank you all.”
She added; “My dear! Never you underestimate the power of social media💃💃💃 KINNI MO WA FE FUN GBOGBO YIN BAAYII😁 Thank you, I love you all💋💋💋❤️❤️❤️❤️”
