Samuel Eto’o, the head of the Cameroon Football Federation, may go to jail for allegedly failing to give Erika de Rosario a €1,400 monthly stipend for five years.
Adileusa de Rosario, a previous companion of Eto’o, gave birth to Erika.
In the 1990s, when Eto’o was a player for Real Madrid, he dated De Rosario.
In February 2022, the Cameroonian legend did, however, recognize his daughter.
Due to Erika’s precarious financial situation, the former footballer was required to give her a monthly stipend.
Fernando Osuna, Erika’s attorney, claims that Eto’o owes his daughter over €90,000 because he hasn’t paid the monthly allowance for five years. Eto’o also played for Chelsea and Inter Milan.
Osuna said (as per El Diario de Sevilla): “He owes more than five years of pension to his daughter and continues to defy justice. Erika’s economy is fragile, while Eto’o lives in luxury.”
“He could be judged with the aggravating circumstance of abuse of power, given his economic superiority over Erika.”
The trial regarding the case will take place in Madrid, according to Osuna.
