The success of Threads, the newest addition to the digital giant, has been praised by Meta’s owner, Mark Zuckerberg, who also owns Facebook.
Despite only being available for 48 hours, the Twitter-like app already has 70 million users globally, according to Zuckerberg.
Announcing his enthusiasm at the development, Zuckerberg used the new app to inform app users of the good news.
He claims that the amount of users who have downloaded the app so far is not just remarkable but has also surpassed Meta’s expectations.
He wrote;
70 million sign-ups on Threads as of this morning. Way beyond our expectations.
The app has been embraced by individuals all around the world ever since it was created. The Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Mr. Macaroni, Woli Arole, Linda Ikeji, and a host of other important politicians and celebrities have now joined the app’s new trend. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently announced his arrival.
Users may post messages up to 500 characters long using the app, which lets Instagram users create Threads accounts using their existing Instagram identities. The service is already accessible in over 100 countries.
