According to the Dutch publication De Telegraaf, Manchester United and Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana have reached a personal agreement.
David de Gea is no longer under contract, thus Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag has named Onana his top pick to take his place.
However, United has already had two offers for Onana rejected by the Champions League champions.
The most recent offer was £38.5 million plus £4.2 million in add-ons and bonuses.
It is anticipated that all sides will reach an agreement in the next few days. Inter is looking to collect €55 million (£47 million) for the 27-year-old.
In addition to talking with Inter, United has also spoken with Onana and reached a verbal agreement on personal conditions with the goalkeeper who is keen to be reunited with Ten Hag at Old Trafford.
