Veteran Nollywood actor, Ugezu J. Ugezu has broken his silence pertaining to his junior colleague, Jerry Williams’ indefinite suspension over drug abuse by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

Recall that a statement signed by the National President of AGN, Mr Emeka Rollas, MON, revealed that the association have been monitoring Jerry’s involvement in illicit substances since December, last year until it got out of hand and as it stands, he cannot be allowed to associate with other performers on set over risk of endangering their lives.

In a recent development, Ugezu took to his IG page to assert that they’re tracking the issue to the root.

He expressed optimism that Jerry Williams will overcome this tough stage of his life too.

He wrote:

“We are tracking it from the root.

Achoba isi ochu, eje na uzu.

Aja Ani IgboUkwu and Aja Ani Ukwu Aguleri will not allow any disaster befall one of his own.

It will end in praise.

My son, @officialjerrywilliams This is just a phase that we must overcome. There’s nothing we have not seen before.
