Andre Onana, goalkeeper for Manchester United, has stated he has no issues with Harry Maguire, after yelling at the defender during their 3-2 preseason friendly loss to Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
The defeat to the Bundesliga runners-up was the Red Devils’ third in a row.
With the score 2-1, Onana went out of his goal to yell at Maguire for his decision to play a short pass to Christian Eriksen, which resulted in a Dortmund chance and a save by the keeper.
The Cameroonian has now explained that he is a very demanding presence in the backline.
Onana told MUTV: “I demand [from] them a lot and I will demand from them a lot because they are great players. Now, for me, it’s a big honour to play with these defenders.
“With [Lisandro] Martinez, Harry [Maguire] they are doing great things. They are important players for the club. I’m very happy to be part of this team and playing with them is something great.”
