You don’t need to beat a man that you need to crucify, they knew they were going to nail Him to the cross, they were going to kill Him so why did they still beat Him? With forty stripes! By God’s Grace I’ve Been A Regular Visitor To Prisons Not As An Inmate But As A Pastor Since 1975 and I know that in all the civilized countries in the world, when a man is about to be executed tomorrow, they will ask him today, what kind of food will you like to eat? He will choose his last meal.

Occasionally, they may even ask: ‘Do you want to watch a film’? Because they know he is going! So they treat him with some Last respect’. So they knew they were going to crucify Jesus, they knew it and yet they beat Him.
