President Tinubu’s cabinet nominees have been screened since he handed his list to the National Assembly’s upper house, with Goodswill Akpabio directing the review.
In the midst of all of this, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu delivered his second batch of cabinet nominations to the Senate via his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
However, in a new update today, a source online indicated that President Tinubu has removed a Ministerial nominee, Maryam Shetty, and chosen two others, including Festus Keyamo, after the Senate President announced it at the plenary session on Friday.
Reacting to that update, Dr Maryam Shetty took to her Twitter handle after being replaced and said
I was just informed now at today’s plenary session that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has withdraw my ministerial nomination and replaced her with Dr Mairiga Mahmud.
I’m grateful and thankful for any decision from you My President!
In her second tweet she said:
The strongest actions for a woman is to love herself, be herself, and shine amongst those who never believed she could.
Better days ahead InshaAllah!
