The Nigerian Senate Should Not Approve Any Military Action Against Niger Republic – Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani

Following reports that Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is seeking Senate approval to deploy troops to Niger Republic in order to reverse what has occurred in the west African country.

Former Nigerian lawmaker and human rights activist, Shehu Sani, has warned the Nigerian senate not to approve such a move by the president.

According to Shehu Sani, sending troops to Niger could exacerbate the situation on the ground.

Shehu Sani feels that such a move could lead to war in the country. Shehu Sani went so far as to encourage the president not to allow himself to be manipulated by foreign powers.
