“He oppressed Almajiris” – Quranic reciters warn Tinubu not to swear in El-Rufai as minister

Quranic reciters warn Tinubu

The Coalition of Quranic Memorisers and Reciters has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to appoint Nasir El-Rufai as minister.

Sheikh Sidi Aliyu Sise, the Director of Education at the Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation, urged Tinubu to tread carefully and avoid swearing in unjust politicians of dubious character.

El-Rufai, they claim, oppressed Almajirai while serving as governor.

He urged Tinubu to examine the country with the eyes of justice and the situation of the oppressed, rather than succumbing to pressure to appoint El-Rufa’i as minister.

Sheikh Sidi pleaded, “We demand justice as a result of injustice, harassment, trauma, and difficulties encountered by our disciples, teachers and many Qur’anic Scholars when he evacuated our innocent pupils from the House of Maulana Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi in Kaduna to an unknown destination.”

Kemi Finani News recalls that El-Rufai and 47 others were part of the nominees Tinubu sent to the Senate for Confirmation, but the ex-governor was not part of the ministers confirmed on Monday.
