Following Nigeria’s loss to the Three Lionesses on penalties, Natacha Akide, or Tacha, a Nigerian TV reality personality, lost the N500,000 bet she made on the Super Falcons to overcome England.
In their round of 16 match against England at the present FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia on Monday morning, the Super Falcons were defeated 4-2 on penalties after regulation and extra time finished scoreless.
Tacha declared she would bet N500,000 on the Super Falcons to defeat England before to the the match’s start.
