BBNaija: Latasha Lagos tackles KOK for dissing female housemates over their performance in recent quiz

Media personality, Latasha Lagos, has voiced her criticism towards veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo for his recent comments concerning the performance of female contestants in the general knowledge test of the highly-watched reality show, BBNaija All Stars.

This development comes in the wake of a widely circulated video clip from season 8 of the show, wherein the housemates were subjected to a set of general knowledge questions, and a substantial number of them struggled to provide correct answers.

In response to this viral clip, Kanayo O. Kanayo took issue with the show’s organizers, asserting that they had squandered the substantial grand prize of N120 million on contestants he perceived as lacking in intellectual prowess, and only have backsides to offer.

His remark, however, did not sit well with Latasha Lagos, who promptly rebuked it on the grounds of being blatantly misogynistic.

She pointed out that Kanayo’s criticism exclusively targeted the female participants, despite the fact that their male counterparts fared just as poorly in the same quiz.

Latasha Lagos chose a diplomatic approach to express her disagreement, taking to the comment section of Kanayo’s statement. In her response to the actor, she maintained a respectful tone while underscoring the importance of holding both genders equally accountable for their performance. She emphasized that the critique should apply to everyone, rather than singling out one gender.

Her comment read:

“With all due respect sir, the men failed just as badly as the women. I hear what you’re saying but your advice should cut across BOTH gënders please.”
