BBNaija’ should have been about solutions to Nigerian issues – Seun Kuti

Ike Ekweremadu: Seun Kuti Berates Obasanjo Over Mercy Plea

In a thought-provoking statement, Seun Kuti, the renowned Nigerian musician and activist, expresses his opinion on the popular reality TV show “BBNaija.”

According to Seun Kuti, rather than being a mere source of entertainment, the show should have utilized its massive platform to address and provide solutions to critical issues plaguing Nigeria.

In a recent interview with Gbenga Aborowa of Spade TV Africa, he participated as a guest speaker and the two talked about Africa’s role in the UN.

During their conversation,He emphasized that the yearly BBNaija show should av has been tailored to promote Nigeria’s development.

Kuti pointed out that the program should have discussed viable solutions to the myriad problems in Nigeria rather than concentrating on social skills and techniques.

He stated that it would be preferable if the show fans cast their votes for the most practical option rather than the housemates.

The contentious public figure stated that if the program was organized for development, the investors would be contributing to Nigeria’s expansion and development.

In his words:

“Big Brother Naija is the way it is because of the Investment that is put in it. It was designed by certain people to be that way. The people that designed Big Brother could have decided that it would be a show where young people discuss the issue of the country and come up with solutions and other young people and viewers can vote on the best solution.”

That means that the people going from entertainment to solutions and national development, they’re investing in solutions for national development.”
