Controversial singer, Naira Marley has made a new assertion against his former Disc Jockey, DJ Splash.
Marley claimed he never signed DJ Splash to Marlian Music, his record label.
This trailed finger pointing that he has a hand in the death of his former signee, Mohbad.
In a viral audio, DJ Splash’s mother alleged that Naira Marley had invited her son to live with him and promised to cover his educational expenses.
She added that Marley eventually failed DJ Splash and alleged that since leaving his house, her son has been “mentally unstable”.
In an interview with Reno Omokiri, Marley debunked claims that DJ Splash was his official DJ or signed to his label.
He suggested that people had wrongly perceived DJ Splash’s role based on a photograph of them together.
He added that the DJ was not at his house when he started battling challenges. He also tagged the allegations as “lies”.
“DJ Splash was never signed to Marlian Music; I know him as a DJ, but he has never deejayed with me at shows or anything, it is not like he is my DJ. They just gave him the title because I have a picture with him,” he said.
“When whatever happened to him, he was not at my house, and I do not understand where all this is coming from.
“DJ Splash, DJ whatever, I do not understand where it is coming from, that is all lies, they are just bringing out people from nowhere to tell lies.”
On September 26, Marley said he plans to return to Nigeria to assist in the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death.
He also maintained that he had no involvement in Mohbad’s demise and had no reason to be a fugitive.
