The management team at Fresh FM 106.9, a popular radio station in Ekiti State, has prohibited the broadcast of any songs associated with Marlian Records.
Oluwaseunfunmi Williams, the Head of Production and Music Content at Fresh FM, shared this information via a statement on Tuesday.
“Following the public outcry from the general public trialling the death of singer Mohbad. The alleged victimization from different videos going viral and the involvement of members of his former record label, Marlian, owned by popular Nigerian artiste Naira Marley. #JusticeforMohbad,” the statement read.
The announcement comes after the unfortunate and mysterious passing of Mohbad, a former artist signed to Marlian Records.
In response, the police have formed a special investigative team to look into the circumstances surrounding the singer’s demise.
A preliminary report from the team is expected to be submitted within two weeks.
